How it works
The hydrocolloid formulation interacts with wound moisture to form a gel, helping to maintain appropriate moisture at the wound interface. The outer polyurethane film serves as a protective barrier when intact, while the thin, flexible design supports conformability and helps reduce friction.
Application guidance
- Wash hands before handling the dressing.
- Cleanse the wound as directed by the clinician.
- Gently dry the surrounding skin.
- Select a dressing size that provides adequate coverage beyond the wound edges.
- Remove the release liner per product instructions.
- Apply without stretching and smooth the edges to secure.
- Follow clinical guidance on change frequency.
- To remove, lift an edge gently while supporting the surrounding skin.
- ConvaTec guidance: select a dressing that extends about 3 cm beyond the wound margins; cleanse the wound and dry surrounding skin before application. Refer to the package insert for full instructions.
